16 New Maps and More at Launch

Activision has released new details about the multiplayer component of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which is set to launch later this year. The game will feature a total of 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps.

Core 6v6 Maps

The core 6v6 maps are designed for traditional Call of Duty gameplay, with a focus on fast-paced action and close-quarters combat. Some of the confirmed core 6v6 maps include:

  • Nuketown '84
  • Hijacked
  • Raid
  • Summit

Strike Maps

The Strike maps are larger in scale than the core 6v6 maps and are designed for objective-based game modes such as Domination and Hardpoint. Some of the confirmed Strike maps include:

  • Express
  • Gridlock
  • Morocco
  • Miami

In addition to the new maps, Black Ops 6 will also introduce a number of new features to the multiplayer experience, including:

  • A new Gunsmith system that allows players to customize their weapons with a wide range of attachments
  • A new Pick 10 system that allows players to choose from a variety of perks and equipment
  • A new Scorestreak system that rewards players for completing objectives and getting kills

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to release on October 25th, 2023 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
