Early Life and Family

Princess Märtha Louise of Norway was born on September 22, 1971, at the Rikshospitalet University Hospital in Oslo, Norway.

She is the eldest daughter of King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway, and has two younger brothers: Crown Prince Haakon and Prince Sverre Magnus.

Princess Märtha Louise was raised at the Royal Palace in Oslo and attended Oslo Cathedral School.

Education and Career

After graduating from high school, Princess Märtha Louise studied physiotherapy at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences.

She later worked as a physiotherapist at the Ullevål University Hospital in Oslo and at the Norwegian Olympic Training Center.

In addition to her work as a physiotherapist, Princess Märtha Louise is also an accomplished artist and author.

Crown Prince Haakon of Norway

Early Life and Family

Crown Prince Haakon Magnus of Norway was born on July 20, 1973, at the Rikshospitalet University Hospital in Oslo, Norway.

He is the eldest son of King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway, and has two younger siblings: Princess Märtha Louise and Prince Sverre Magnus.

Crown Prince Haakon was raised at the Royal Palace in Oslo and attended Oslo Cathedral School.

Education and Career

After graduating from high school, Crown Prince Haakon studied political science at the University of California, Berkeley.

He later attended the Norwegian Military Academy and served as a lieutenant in the Norwegian Armed Forces.

Crown Prince Haakon is currently the heir apparent to the Norwegian throne and is expected to succeed his father as king one day.
