Bayern Star Werner Takes A Jab At Club Anthem Bremen Wants To Floor Big Favorites

Bayern star Werner takes a jab at club anthem, Bremen wants to floor "big favorites"

Bavarian star Werner jokes about the anthem, Bremen wants to annoy the "big favorites".

Bremen's coach Werner warns against underestimation before the game against FC Bayern.

SV Werder Bremen's coach Ole Werner has warned against underestimating the upcoming Bundesliga game against German record champions Bayern Munich. "We are certainly not going into the game as favorites. Bayern are the big favorites. But we have nothing to lose and want to annoy the big favorites," said Werner at the press conference on Friday.

The 34-year-old does not want to let his team be impressed by the strong performances of the Munich team in the past few weeks. "We have to be courageous and brave. We have to play our game and not let ourselves be impressed by the name of the opponent," demanded Werner.

Bremen had recently celebrated three wins in a row and thus climbed to tenth place in the table. Bayern, on the other hand, won their last three Bundesliga games and are in third place. "We are in a good mood and want to continue our run. We know that it will be a difficult task, but we are ready for it," said Werner.

Meanwhile, Bayern star Timo Werner joked about the anthem of his club. "I have an earworm," said the striker with a grin on Friday at the press conference before the Bundesliga game at SV Werder Bremen on Saturday (3:30 p.m. / Sky).

Werner had sung the Bayern anthem live on stage at the Oktoberfest on Wednesday evening. "It was a great experience. But I have to admit that the song is a bit catchy," said Werner.

The 26-year-old is known for his good mood and his love of music. He had already caused a stir at the European Championship 2021 when he sang the national anthem before the game against France in a very emotional way.
