An Interview with Dr. Alana Siegel

Dr. Siegel is a corporate associate in the Denver office of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher. She is also a member of Gibson Dunn's Private Equity and Mergers and Acquisitions practice group.

Dr. Siegel recently spoke to us about her work in Israel, where she is a Research Fellow in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Tel Aviv University. She also teaches in the International Program in Crisis and Trauma at Tel Aviv University and maintains a private practice as a psychologist.

Dr. Siegel explained that Israel is a unique place to study crisis and trauma. "Israel is a country that has experienced a great deal of trauma," she said. "As a result, Israelis have developed a wealth of knowledge and expertise in dealing with crisis and trauma."

Dr. Siegel's research focuses on the impact of trauma on children and adolescents. She is particularly interested in the development of resilience in children who have experienced trauma. "I believe that it is important to understand the impact of trauma on children so that we can develop effective interventions to help them cope," she said.

Dr. Siegel's work is making a significant contribution to our understanding of crisis and trauma. Her research is helping to develop new interventions to help people who have experienced trauma.
