Miikka Kiprusoff's Jersey to Be Retired by Calgary Flames

Jersey Retirement Night Announced

The Calgary Flames have announced that Miikka Kiprusoff's jersey will be retired in a pre-game ceremony before the team's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on March 12, 2023. Kiprusoff's number 34 will be raised to the rafters of the Scotiabank Saddledome, making him the fourth Flames player to receive the honor.

A Flames Legend

Kiprusoff played 11 seasons with the Flames, posting a record of 303-257-74 with a 2.52 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage. He won the Vezina Trophy as the NHL's top goaltender in 2006 and was a four-time All-Star. Kiprusoff helped lead the Flames to the Stanley Cup Final in 2004, where they lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Joining McDonald, Iginla, and Vernon, Kiprusoff's jersey retirement is a testament to his outstanding contributions to the Calgary Flames organization and the city of Calgary.
